Thorbjørn Olesen and Cristobal Del Solar set a tournament opening round record with a 61 (-9) to share the lead following Thursday at the RBC Canadian Open. Olesen and Del Solar also set a new course record at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course). The previous record was a 61 by Tyler McCumber at the 2018 Osprey Valley Open (pre-renovation) and 64 by Brendon Doyle at the 2024 Fortinet Cup Championship (post-renovation). They hold a one-shot lead over Cameron Champ (-8). Taylor Pendrith leads the 24-player Canadian Contingent following an
opening round of 65 (-5) and is T9.
