Thursday, June 8, 2023 – Corey Conners fired a 5-under 67 on Thursday and is co-leader along with Aaron Rai, Justin Lower and Chesson Hadley after the opening round of the RBC Canadian Open.
Conners recorded five birdies and a bogey free round on Thursday. The Listowel, Ont. native now has a streak of 51 consecutive holes without a bogey at the RBC Canadian Open dating back to the third round of last year’s tournament.

FRIDAY IS RED & WHITE DAY
The tradition returns on Friday with the annual Red and White Day at the RBC Canadian Open. On Friday June 8th, spectators, staff, and fans are encouraged to wear the nation’s colours while cheering on the Canadian contingent chasing a PGA TOUR title on home soil.
SPECTATOR PARKING FOR THE RBC CANADIAN OPEN
Due to extremely high demand of pre-paid parking, RBC Canadian Open spectator parking at Downsview Park is now completely sold out for Friday, June 9, Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11. Spectators traveling to the RBC Canadian Open are encouraged to utilize TTC services, rideshare/car hire and to please consider carpooling. As a reminder, there is no public parking onsite at Oakdale or in the surrounding neighbourhood.
Via TTC:
Subway: Downsview Park Station is the nearest subway station to Oakdale Golf & Country Club. Spectators will be able to access a free shuttle from Downsview Park to the golf course and the concert site.
Bus: Oakdale Golf & Country Club is accessible via multiple Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus routes to the Jane Street at Troutbrooke Dr stop · 400 m (5 min) walk.
Rideshare/ Taxi:
Ride share vehicles and other for hire vehicles will be directed to a designated area just off of Jane Street, steps from the golf course and the concert site. The ride share drop off is on Troutbrook Drive.
RBCxMUSIC CONCERT SERIES SET FOR FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Returning again, as part of the RBCxMusic Concert Series, is the SiriusXM Stage; it features local acts who have the chance to perform in The Fare Way, a hub for spectator activities that promote more than just golf. On Friday & Saturday night, following the golf, two local artists get the opportunity to shine. Friday sees Avry and Liyah Katana take the stage at 7:00 p.m. for 30-minute sets before the Black Eyed Peas. On Saturday, Luna Elle and Skye Wallace perform on the SiriusXM Stage before fans turn their attention to headliner Alanis Morissette later that night.
